Biography
Francesca Valentini is an art historian. A pupil of Orietta Rossi Pinelli and Giuseppe Basile at the Sapienza University of Rome, she specialized and get her PhD on the theories of contemporary art conservation. Since 2000 she has been working for the Italian Ministry of Culture, first at the National Gallery of Modern Art, and since 2014 at the Istituto Centrale per il restauro, where she is a professor of History and Theory of Restoration at the Higher Education School of Rome and Matera. Her research topics are the critic and theory of restoration, in particular applied to contemporary, public and urban art.
